To begin with, a declaration of conformity of tc is a document that certifies that the quality of products meets the established technical requirements adopted in the regulations of the Customs Union. Thus, there are several procedures, based on which the confirmation of a high level of quality of the goods is provided. By obtaining such a declaration, the manufacturer has the right to conduct lawful activities related to the export of products to the EEU member states, which contributes to a faster entry of goods to the markets of Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus and Armenia, and increases trade turnover between the states.
At the time of issuing a declaration of conformity with the requirements of the Customs Union, the manufacturer is required to register it in an electronic register. In such a register, it is possible to check whether a declaration has been issued by the relevant certification body and whether it is legally valid or has expired. The number of the declaration is recorded in the register. Only the certification body listed in the Single Register of the Customs Union is authorised to carry out this procedure.
How to draw up a Customs Union declaration of conformity?
Customs Union Declaration of Conformity (TR CU)
To obtain the declaration of conformity of the Customs Union TR CU company or individual entrepreneur should act as an applicant, at that their permanent place of residence or location must be in one of the Member States of the EEU.
Once all mandatory procedures have been passed, in particular laboratory tests, a Customs Union Declaration of Conformity is provided for, thereby giving the manufacturer the right to sell products in the common territory of the Customs Union. Please note that foreign organisations that are not registered in Russia and other EAEU countries cannot obtain a declaration in order to sell their products freely.
The technical regulations of the Customs Union establish a mandatory requirement to comply with product labelling rules. Requirements with regard to product labelling are spelled out in each regulation adopted by the CU countries. It is necessary so that the consumer by looking at the packaging of the goods can familiarise himself with such information as the name of the product, trademark of the product, composition, data about the manufacturer, expiry date and storage conditions.
In addition, the product packaging should necessarily bear an EAC mark of conformity which is affixed to products after a declaration of conformity of the Customs Union.
