Vehicle type approval is a procedure, by means of which, after making required inspections, effected in accordance with the principles of the Agreement on Adoption of Uniform Technical Prescriptions for wheel vehicles, articles of equipment and parts, which can be mounted and (or) used for wheel vehicles, and the terms of mutual acknowledgement of official statements, made out on the basis of those prescriptions, it is declared, that the vehicle meets the list of safety and environmental requirements, obligatory for certification of vehicles in Russian Federation, and in the result of which the document under the same name is issued.

- Document on assignment of international identification code of the producer (WMI).
- Letter of Guarantee on manufacturing a lot of vehicles, quantity of which will not exceed pieces.
- Letter of guarantee regarding stability of manufacturing conditions.
- Copy of “Vehicle type Approval” for basic chassis.
- Copy of “Vehicle type Approval” for products, received earlier.
- Copies of Certificates and Protocols of separate characteristics tests, received earlier both for basic
chassis and declared product.
- Description of vehicle marks.
- Justification of manufacturer’s preparedness for production.
- Technical Specifications.
- Protocol of purchased item use under GOST 2.124.
- General technical description of the vehicle, listing all modification made to vehicle basic design, and also
corresponding design documents (DD) for assemblies: approval of structure from the holder of original DD
for basic vehicle, confirming possibility to use the basic vehicle in a new development or producer’s
conclusion about the possibility to use basic model for modified structures.
- Copy of a document, specifying mutual obligations of both manufacturers on technical documents
circulation (notification about changes, negotiation of documents to a third party and so on).
- Agreement on obligations of both manufacturers (dividing list) with regard to fulfillment of all requirements
obligatory during vehicle certification for obtaining of Approval.
- Authorized document fixing certain types of control tests for each manufacturer.
- Vehicle drawing in four projections: front, side, rear, top - with main dimensions (on one page).
